"IS NOT EVERYTHING!"

Reading: Isaiah 55:6-9
Isaiah 55:6-10 Seek the LORD while He may be found; cried out to Him for He is near!
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the wicked abandon his design; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy, and to our God, for he gives forgiveness in abundance.
Because my design is not rancanganmu, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Such as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways higher than your ways and my design of rancanganmu.
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there, but water the earth, making it fertile and grow the plants, giving seed to the sower and bread to the people who want to eat
NATS: For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he saw all the steps (Job 34:21)

When it first came to Alaska, I was very excited because it can stay in the cottage Mount McKinley. When we entered the hut, I saw a glimpse of a large boulder through the window width, then I rushed out into space on a mountain overlooking the turns.

"Well," I murmured softly as he watched the scene.

The man standing not far from me saying, "Oh, ... that's not all!"

Then, I knew that the tourists who visit Alaska often can not see the "Almighty" in their entirety. 6,200 m high mountain that loomed, so most of the mountain was closed when the weather is cloudy. I turned just saw part of the mountain.

We often feel satisfied with a limited view of us will live. However, Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the plans is what is in me concerning you, saith the Lord, that the draft peace accident and not design, to give you a future full of hope." With a broad view and omniscient God, He can see people who want to help him, the things he wants to achieve, the good qualities that he wanted to develop in us.

Proverbs 16:9 says, "The heart of man plans his way thinking, but the Lord directs his steps." Limited view of our lives our human nature, but we can entrust ourselves to God Almighty, that his views are endless! - CHK

WHEN compassionate

Luke 23:26-32 As they led him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from out of town, placed the cross on his back and made him carry it behind Jesus.
A large number of people followed him, among them women who were mourning and wailing for him.
Jesus turned to them and said: "Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children!
Because see, the time comes people will say: Blessed are the barren, and the womb of women have never given birth, and who were never breastfed milk.
Then they will begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us! and to the hills: Timbunilah us!
For if men do these things when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry? "
And there was also led two others, two criminals to be executed along with him.
Reading: Luke 23:26-34
NATS: Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34)

In 2002 I was in Jakarta, Indonesia. At that time I became a teacher for two nights in a Bible conference. The first night, I left early to church to event organizers, and the pastor invited me to tour the building. The beauty of the church impresses me.
Then the priest invites me to a large room on the lower bunk. On the front there is a pulpit and communion table. Appeared behind a concrete wall with a simple wooden cross on the wall. Lettering underneath Indonesian language. I am writing to ask what the sound was, and I was shocked when he quoted the words of Christ who raised Him from the cross, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

I ask if there is a specific reason that the article was written on it. He then explained that a few years before this ever happened in the city was great unrest, and 21 churches were burned out in one day. The concrete wall is the only remaining - of the first church that burned.

Walls and verse reminds them of the compassion that was shown on the cross of Christ, and it is a message the church for their city. Revenge and bitterness is not a healing response hatred and rage the lost world. However, the compassion of Christ can be a response to recover, as they did 2,000 years ago - WEC

TREAT YOUR WATCH

Reading: Acts 20:27-32
Acts 20:27-32 For I do not neglect the whole purpose of God to you.
Be on guard for yourselves and all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
Even from among your own group men will arise, teaching them to draw false disciples from the true path and after them.
Therefore keep watch, and remember, that I was three years old, day and night, with no stop-constantly exhort each one of you with tears.
And now I hand you over to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you and confer upon you an inheritance for all those who have been sanctified him.
NATS: Now I hand you over to God and to the word of His grace is able to build you (Acts 20:32)

During his visit to Jakarta to attend a Bible conference, I was invited to be a speaker at a church there. Before the service the first of two Sunday morning worship service begins, an elder asked me to hand him my Bible. He explained that the elders are responsible for the accuracy of the biblical teaching that will be accepted by the church, and he will restore the Bible to me in front of them. This is a tangible way to demonstrate to the people that their leaders preaching entrusted to me that day.
This habit of reminding us to always be vigilant. This habit also uplifting. I am reminded that the privilege to introduce to others the truth of the Bible can not be taken lightly. However, it is also encouraging when we see how serious this Indonesian elders in charge of shepherding their congregations.

In Acts 20, we read that Paul met with the elders of the church at Ephesus. In his address to the leaders, the apostle warns them of the dangers of false teachers (verses 28,29) and the responsibility of church leaders to help the church grow in the word of God (verse 32).

Whatever our vocation, treat God's word carefully. If we have to be careful, God's people will grow - WEC

GET CHANCE

Reading: Acts 8:26-38
NATS: As long as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people (Galatians 6:10)

The rain outside when Marcia, director of the Jamaican Christian School for the Deaf, a speaker for our group. Thirty-four teenagers and a few adults enrolled in the school. However, a student we did not seem bothered by the rain outside or by the children running around the room.

The teenager was heard Marcia said, "I dreamed of having a playground for the kids." The student to remember the words of Marcia, and through the encouragement of God, he embodies the dream of being an idea. Later that day he said to me, "We will come back and build a playground for them." An opportunity has opened services.

After over four months, on a rainy day in Jamaica, we had a celebration in the same room. We gathered in a playground made of wood - complete with slide, ladder play, monkey bars, swings, fort, and trapeze. A student grabbed the opportunity and a dream come true.

How often God encourages us to act to meet the needs of others, but we let that opportunity pass? How many times the Holy Spirit encourages us to say or do something in the name of Jesus, but we ignore that impulse? Just as Philip in Acts 8, let us honor God by responding to Him through action. Seize every opportunity that God has given to serve others in His name - JDB
